Hot Dance Camps! Summer 2011 Theme camps fill very quickly. Space is limited to 20 dancers. Camps run for one consecutive week for two hours each day. Family and friends are invited to attend the last fifteen minutes of class on the final day to watch what the dancers have learned. A nutritious snack is provided daily; please bring water bottle each day to camp. Tuition is $179 for each camp unless otherwise noted. Fairyland Princess Ages 3.5 – 5 years August 1st - 5th, 10:00am - 12:00pm Dancers will learn a beautiful dance set to one of Disney’s Princess Classics. Dancers will enjoy dance games, dress-up activities and crafts that all relate to the princess theme. Students should wear leotard, tights, (ballet skirt is optional), pink ballet slippers and Velcro tap shoes. Hip Hop Camp Ages 4 – 6 years August 8th - 12th, 10:00am - 12:00pm This high-energy camp will incorporate all of the latest dance moves as well as popular “street” style dance seen on TV. Dancers will learn choreography and make up their own routines. Students should wear comfortable athletic clothing, athletic shoes or jazz sneakers. Music Video Camp Ages 7 – 10 years August 15th - 19th, 10:00am - 12:00pm This spunky camp incorporates hip hop and jazz. They will produce a showcase for parents on the last day of camp. Dancers will also get to have fun with creating costumes and hair and make-up for the Friday performance and they’ll create their very own dances to their favorite music. Students should wear jazz dance class attire and jazz shoes. Pointe Boot Camp Ages 10 years and older August 15th - 19th, 1:00pm - 3:00pm This workshop offers an introduction to pointe. It will include emphasis on core strengthening, correct alignment and strength of the foot and ankle. Pilates and yoga principles will be included. Emphasis will be placed on technique, variation and injury prevention. Ages 10 & up. Dance Intensive Ages 10 years and older July 25th - 29th, 9:00am - 12:00pm *Required for team dancers Dancers will be divided into groups the first day of this two week camp. This program involves training in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and student choreography. In this intensive, dancers will hone technical skills and improve overall artistry. Ages 6 & up. Tuition is $249. Impact Dance Team Parent Meeting Sunday - August 28th Summer Sessions Classes August 1st - 19th Enjoy the summer by dancing it away! Take one of our core classes and keep your toes tapping through the summer! • Tuesday AND Thursday for all classes. • Tuition is $99 for one class Tues. AND Thurs. or $179 for 2 classes. • Required for team dancers to take both classes in their age division 2:00 - 3:00 pm Jazz Fusion Ages 5+ 3:00 - 4:00 pm Tap Explosion Ages 5+ 3:00 - 4:00 pm Tutus & Tiaras Ages 3+ 4:00 - 5:00 pm Lyrical Ages 7+ 4:00 - 5:00 pm Hip Hop Ages 10+ 5:00 - 6:00 pm Hip Hop Ages 7+ 5:00 - 6:00 pm Contemporary/Turns & Tricks 10+ 6 dancers are required for each camp or class to ‘make’.
